Efficient traffic flow and modular storage helps this busy young family make to the game (or class) on time. Clutter tucks neatly away behind a full wall of gorgeous cherry flat panel built-in cabinetry. Above the sink, glass-front cabinets waive guesswork. Grab and go. For more relaxed meals, an adjacent dining room allows family and guests to enjoy appetizers as the chef participates in conversation.
"This kitchen was designed for a busy family of six whose time together centers around meals. We moved no piping or windows for this job, but accomplished a huge change by removing the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room.
The table, constructed from an old family favorite that had out-lasted its functionality, is big enough for the whole family to eat in the kitchen, or do homework. The colors are fun and the materials — cork/rubber composite on the floor, soap stone on the counters, were chosen for their durability as well as good looks.
The construction on this job was done in just under one month." — Kirsten Thoft, Architect
